So I haven’t really done much with this space yet. And I put this project down for so long that I’ve forgotten how to navigate and edit posts. Or how to use the templates and all that.
Well, this part seems easy enough. And millions of people have blogs, right? I can do this.
Well, here it is. My first post. There’s not much to see here yet; it feels like I’m sitting in a big empty room. But it’s my big empty room. Eventually, it will be a cozy little nest full of things that make me comfy and happy. I had plans to write something clever and share a recipe here for my first post, but I keep getting distracted and second-guessing. So, for now, I will try to get used to the space. I think I’ll open up the window for a little fresh air, and enjoy the echo from the bare floor and walls. I’ve always loved the excitement of moving into a new home, and this feels similar. I can almost smell the Pine-Sol and fresh paint.
I can’t wait until it feels like home and smells like cookies in here. Wait… did I say cookies? Hold on a sec… I’ve actually been planning on baking some cookies. Lemme see if I can find a recipe…
*Runs to kitchen: brings back tattered coil-bound cookbook.*
Okay. I found it. It’s a cookbook from the Company’s Coming series by Jean Paré. This will be great!
*Opens book, doesn’t immediately find recipe, spends 30 minutes looking at cookie recipes. Eats bag of chocolate chips.*
So, I think I’ll need a little more time. I want to find just the right recipe to get things going. In the meantime, thanks so much for stopping by.
